Although we did get there in time to see the changing of the guards, which was cool. I got some pictures of the Korean Bows and Arrows for Dallin to see. The palace grounds were beautiful.
Last night I met with my friend Julie, she used to go to UVU, but works for ANA Japanese airlines now. She is stationed in Seoul, so we met and went to Namsa Tower (N Seoul Tower). We took the cable car up and walked down. It was really cool. There was a lot more going on outside and around the tower than I saw inside. There's an area like in Paris with the locks of love. My phone and camera were both pretty much dead at the time, so she has the pictures that she will send me. I remembered to take a couple of pictures on my phone so it would be easier to send.
Tonight in Insadong (a big shopping/tourist street filled with all sorts of restaurants and shops) I saw a bunch of people with these hook shaped ice cream cones. So I asked around (in Korean) and found them. (See picture below)
It's been really great so far. Tomorrow we leave the Academy of Korean Studies and head to the Ramada in Cheongju. I'm excited, We're going to get a tour of the printing museum of the first metal moveable type. Then a demonstration were we're going to learn classic book binding and we're going to get to make paper. Should be really good.
